I've sailed frequently, and I've seen wonders at sea, but none of them prepared me for...this. Traveling among the stars is so far outside the realms of what I thought possible...but, I suppose that all knowledge is worth having. How is this done?

[Armand lets his eyes unfocus, so he can only vaguely see the lights out in the darkness.]

She is many things, a scholar among them. [And he might just be bragging now. Just a bit.] She holds the Name of God in her; it would be difficult not to be many things.

[That gets a very small smile.] It's a long story, messire. She had a very dear friend, who was trapped on and island, condemned to live forever and age eternally to carry the brunt of an angel's rage. Only the Name of God could free him.

I would go through a lot to help a friend in that situation myself. I understand. [He shudders though. What a horrible thing to have to seek out. He's surprised this Phedre is still sane.]

Is there anywhere else you need to see? [Armand is getting the feeling Imriel may need to be alone to process all this. Even Wardens can get overwhelmed by things.]

[Good call. Imri runs a hand over his head before smiling a little and shaking it.] No, after this, I think I can manage anything. [He totally doesn't mind having to find some things on his own, either.]
