A Companion is a woman trained from a young age in language, art, music, psychology, and a myriad of additional subjects. Considered by many to be nobility, a Companion chooses her own clients and is responsible for providing a sort of... holistic experience for them. Clients for registered Alliance Companions are generally among the social and political elite.

I've never expected that sort of treatment while on board, of course. I understand that my culture did not follow me here.
