I've sailed frequently, and I've seen wonders at sea, but none of them prepared me for...this. Traveling among the stars is so far outside the realms of what I thought possible...but, I suppose that all knowledge is worth having. How is this done?

I wish I had the education to understand how it works. Even if we were only on the seas, I'd be hard pressed to explain how so much metal stays afloat.

[Because of their earlier discussion, he makes for the open deck first. At the door he pauses.]

[Armand opens the door and will allow Imriel to walk past him onto the deck, if he wishes. If Imriel seems hesitant, he'll lead out himself. It doesn't shock him so much anymore.]

[He's wary, but curious, and walks out onto the deck. Despite all his upbringing and manners, his mouth falls open like the goatherder he was raised as.]

She is many things, a scholar among them. [And he might just be bragging now. Just a bit.] She holds the Name of God in her; it would be difficult not to be many things.
