I've sailed frequently, and I've seen wonders at sea, but none of them prepared me for...this. Traveling among the stars is so far outside the realms of what I thought possible...but, I suppose that all knowledge is worth having. How is this done?

I believe unsettling may be the closer word...[He cups his jaw, still studying the map.] I know a map well enough, and I've been to several countries, but I wouldn't call myself an expert by any means.

I suspect there's no error then. Our worlds look to be remarkably similar. [He glances aside at Imriel.] Do you wish to see the language or history books now?

[He nods quickly, looking away from the map.] Yes, very much so.

They aren't far. [Armand gestures and leads him down into the stacks. He pulls out a book of history written in French.] He can look at this and see if it makes any sense to you. Tis about a famous king in my home nation.

[Imri takes the book, immediately flipping it open, brows pursed curiously.] It's very much like D'Angeline. I am curious if there are certain...parallels in our histories, given our nations' appearances.

[He takes another book down, and pages through it idly.]

I don't doubt it. [He eyes the other books in the section, then glances at the rest of the library.] Do you think it possible books from my world might be found?

[Another smile, and a nod.] Oh very likely.

I haven't seen a library this comprehensive in a good while, [he murmurs, flipping through the book.] Thank you, Armand.

You're very welcome. I suspect the other books, if they are not in your language, will lend themselves to your eyes anyway. [He's always happy to share books with people.]

[Armand nods, amused at the effect his words had on Imriel.] That has been my experience. I am fluent in more than one language, but hardly every one that is represented here.

[Armand looks around too.] I have done just that before. It is a good place to hide from the world.

Indeed, I believe that. Occasionally, escape becomes necessary. Well - it did at home.

There are times when I just want to hide in my cabin or a book for a week.

This ship is an amazing construction.

I wish I had the education to understand how it works. Even if we were only on the seas, I'd be hard pressed to explain how so much metal stays afloat.

[Because of their earlier discussion, he makes for the open deck first. At the door he pauses.]

Prepare yourself. This part is sometimes a shock.
